Elaine C. Smith is a Scottish actress who played Mary Nesbitt in the long-running BBC sitcom Rab C. Nesbitt. She began her career in the 1980s, with roles in Naked Video and City Lights. Smith has also achieved success on stage, appearing in productions such as Calendar Girls and The Steamie, and has toured with her own one-woman shows. She became a key cast member in the BBC Scotland sitcom Two Doors Down. Smith appears in Damaged (2024).
