Edward Burns is an American actor, writer, and filmmaker who gained prominence with his independent film, The Brothers McMullen (1995). He has appeared in notable films such as Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Holiday (2006), and Man on a Ledge (2012). In addition to acting, Burns has directed several films, including She's the One (1996) and Sidewalks of New York (2001). His television work includes starring as Bugsy Siegel in the TNT series Mob City and as Terry Muldoon in Public Morals. Edward Burns directed The Fitzgerald Family Christmas (2012).
