Eddie Redmayne is an English actor who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything (2014). He began his career in West End theatre and made his film debut in 2006 with Like Minds, followed by roles in The Good Shepherd and Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Redmayne gained prominence with performances in My Week with Marilyn (2011) and Les Misérables (2012). He has also starred in the Fantastic Beasts series, appearing in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022). His work in theatre earned him a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Red (2009-2010).
