Dylan Moran is an Irish comedian, writer, actor, and filmmaker who co-wrote and starred in the television sitcom Black Books. He gained recognition for his role alongside Simon Pegg in Shaun of the Dead (2004) and appeared in Run Fatboy Run (2007). In addition to his film work, Moran was one of the lead characters in the 2008 Irish black comedy A Film with Me in It. He frequently performs at various comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2007, he was ranked the 17th greatest stand-up comic by Channel 4, improving to 14th in the 2010 updated list.
