Douta Seck was a Senegalese actor who starred in Xala (1975). After studying architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he became a prominent figure in modern Senegalese theatre. Seck created the title role in Aimé Césaire's The Tragedy of King Christophe and appeared in various productions, including Tamango (1958), The Comedians (1967), and Sugar Cane Alley (1983). He is recognized as a pioneer of Senegalese theatre and cinema.
