Donny Damara is an Indonesian actor who won the Best Actor award at the 6th Asian Film Awards for his performance in Lovely Man (2012). He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Indonesian Film Festival for his role in Perwira dan Ksatria (1990) and received a second nomination at the same festival for the same film. Damara, a graduate of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Indonesia, opted for fewer feature films to balance his academic pursuits and social life. He later transitioned to television soap operas following a downturn in the Indonesian film industry. He also appeared in The Elixir (2025).
