Donnie Yen is a Hong Kong actor and martial artist who starred as Ip Man in the film series starting with Ip Man (2008). He began his career with a leading role in the 1984 film Drunken Tai Chi and gained recognition for his portrayal of General Nap-lan in Once Upon a Time in China II (1992). Yen made his American film debut in Highlander: Endgame (2000) and appeared in Blade II (2002), Shanghai Knights (2003), and Rogue One (2016). He has also directed films, including Legend of the Wolf (1997), and established his production company, Bullet Films, in 1997. Yen has received three Golden Horse Awards and five Hong Kong Film Awards.
