Donald Moffat was an English actor who earned a Tony Award nomination for his performances in both The Wild Duck and Right You Are If You Think You Are. He had a long career in film and stage, starting with appearances on and off Broadway, and received an Obie Award for Painting Churches. Moffat's film credits include notable titles such as The Thing (1982) and The Right Stuff (1983), along with roles in the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and The West Wing. He also appeared in Clear and Present Danger (1994).
