Dom DeLuise was an American actor and comedian who made his film debut in The Twelve Chairs (1970). He frequently appeared on television variety shows and collaborated with directors like Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder. DeLuise starred in several of Brooks' films, including Blazing Saddles and History of the World, Part I, as well as in comedies with Burt Reynolds such as Smokey and the Bandit II. His voice acting work included roles in animated films like All Dogs Go to Heaven and The Secret of NIMH. DeLuise appeared in The Cheap Detective (1978).
