Diane Kruger is a German actress who received the Trophée Chopard from the Cannes Film Festival. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Helen in the epic film Troy (2004), and starred as Dr. Abigail Chase in the heist film National Treasure (2004) and its sequel, National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). Kruger also played Bridget von Hammersmark in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009) and appeared in the psychological thriller Unknown (2011). Additionally, she starred as Detective Sonya Cross in the FX series The Bridge (2013–14). Her performance in Fatih Akin's In the Fade marked her German-language debut and earned her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress.
