Dennis Christopher is an American actor who gained prominence for his role as Dave Stohler in the classic film Breaking Away (1979). He has portrayed a variety of characters, including the tragic film buff psychopath Eric Binford in Fade to Black and American track star Charlie Paddock in Chariots of Fire. Christopher's extensive filmography includes nearly 40 films and made-for-TV movies, with notable appearances in Django Unchained (2012) and the HBO series Deadwood. He has also featured in two episodes of Star Trek, specifically Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise. Christopher's collaborations include reuniting with Paul Dooley in an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent after their previous work together in A Wedding.
