Deepak Verma is a British actor who portrayed Sanjay Kapoor in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (1993–1998). He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and made his television debut in the detective series Taggart in 1992. Verma's character in EastEnders was involved in significant story arcs, including a tumultuous marriage and a false murder accusation. After leaving the show, he established Pukkanasha Films, focusing on producing innovative films that reflect diverse cultural backgrounds. He also appeared in Toonpur Ka Superrhero (2010).
