Debra Monk is an American actress, singer, and writer who gained prominence as a co-writer and co-star of the musical 'Pump Boys and Dinettes' (1982). She has received a Tony Award for her role in 'Redwood Curtain' (1993) and has been nominated for several others, including performances in 'Picnic' (1994) and 'Steel Pier' (1997). Monk's film career includes appearances in 'Prelude to a Kiss', 'The Bridges of Madison County', and 'The Devil's Advocate'. On television, she won a Primetime Emmy Award for her role in 'NYPD Blue' and has guest-starred in series such as 'Law & Order' and 'Desperate Housewives'. She appeared in 'The Producers' (2005).
