Debra Messing is an American actress who achieved fame for her role as Grace Adler in the sitcom Will & Grace (1998–2006, 2017–2020). After completing her studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, she appeared in the short-lived series Ned and Stacey (1995–1997) and Prey (1998). Messing received seven Golden Globe nominations and five Primetime Emmy nominations for her work on Will & Grace, winning an Emmy in 2003. Her film credits include A Walk in the Clouds (1995), The Mothman Prophecies (2002), Searching (2018), and 13: The Musical (2022). In addition to her screen roles, she has voiced characters in animated films like Garfield (2004). Messing starred in the miniseries The Starter Wife, earning two Golden Globe nominations for her performance.
