Deborah Findlay is an English actress who won the 1997 Outer Critics' Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play. She has appeared in notable television series such as State of Play, portraying Greer Thornton, and Foyle's War, where she featured in The French Drop episode. Findlay played Miss Augusta Tompkinson in the BBC1 series Cranford and portrayed Home Secretary Denise Riley in Torchwood's Children of Earth. Her stage credits include the US premiere of Vincent River in 2008 and a revival of Madame de Sade alongside Judi Dench in 2009. She starred in The Lady in the Van (2015) and National Theatre Live: Romeo and Juliet (2021).
