Debashree Roy is an Indian actress who starred in the film Rakta Nadir Dhara (1994). She has appeared in over one hundred films across Hindi and Bengali cinema, earning more than forty awards, including a National Award. Roy is also a dancer and choreographer, known for her innovative adaptations of Indian folk dances and her leadership of the Natraj dance troupe. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is an animal rights activist and founded the Debasree Roy Foundation to support stray animals. Her political career includes serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Raidighi constituency from 2011 to 2021.
