Dean Stockwell is an American actor who received two Best Actor Awards at the Cannes Film Festival for his role in Long Day's Journey into Night (1962). He began his career as a child actor at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, gaining recognition in films such as Anchors Aweigh (1945) and The Boy with Green Hair (1948). Throughout his extensive career, he appeared in notable films including Dune (1984), Blue Velvet (1986), and Air Force One (1997). Stockwell also portrayed Rear Admiral Albert 'Al' Calavicci in the television series Quantum Leap (1989–1993). His performance in Married to the Mob (1988) earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
