Dean Jagger was an American actor who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Twelve O'Clock High (1949). He appeared in several notable films, including The Robe (1953), White Christmas (1954), and Bad Day at Black Rock (1955). Jagger also featured in King Creole (1958), The Nun's Story (1959), and Elmer Gantry (1960), with his later work including Vanishing Point (1971) and Game of Death (1978). His role in Alligator (1980) is part of his filmography.
