David Strathairn is an American actor who portrayed journalist Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck (2005), earning an Academy Award nomination. He has appeared in a variety of films, including L.A. Confidential (1997), The Firm (1993), and Lincoln (2012). Strathairn's roles include characters in the Bourne franchise (2007–2012) and Godzilla (2014). His television work includes performances in The Sopranos (2004) and Billions (2017–2019). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in the HBO film Temple Grandin (2010).
