David Rudman is a puppeteer and voice actor who originated the role of Baby Bear in Sesame Street. He has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Cookie Monster, a role he took over from Frank Oz, who still occasionally records new material for the character. Rudman's career began with Rankin/Bass productions, including Rudolph's Shiny New Year. He has also served as the executive producer and voice of Jack in Jack's Big Music Show and co-created Bunnytown for Playhouse Disney. In addition, Rudman took over roles previously held by Richard Hunt, including Scooter and Janice. He is involved in various educational initiatives, having spoken at the Illinois Institute of Art—Chicago graduation ceremony in 2005.
