David Prowse is an English actor who portrayed Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy. Before this role, he gained recognition as the Green Cross Man, a character promoting road safety in the UK. Prowse also appeared in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange (1971) as a manservant. In addition to his film work, he featured in two documentaries in 2015 that explored his experiences as Darth Vader, including The Force's Mouth and I Am Your Father. He played Darth Vader in Star Wars (1977).
