David Mitchell is a British comedian and actor who gained fame as part of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb. The duo is recognized for their work on the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show, where Mitchell portrays the character Mark Corrigan. He received the British Academy Television Award for Best Comedy Performance in 2009. In addition to Peep Show, Mitchell has appeared in various projects, including the films Migration (2023) and Greed (2019). He has also starred in the BBC Two comedy Upstart Crow as William Shakespeare and participated in numerous British panel shows, serving as a team captain on Would I Lie to You? Mitchell's writing includes pieces for The Observer and The Guardian.
