David Johansen is an American musician and actor who gained prominence as a member of the protopunk band The New York Dolls. He has appeared in films such as Car 54, Where Are You? (1994) and Scrooged (1988). Johansen also worked under the pseudonym Buster Poindexter. His film credits include Freejack (1992).
