David Corenswet is an American actor who played the titular superhero in James Gunn's film Superman (2025). He graduated from Juilliard in 2016 and began his career with guest roles in television, notably in House of Cards (2018). Corenswet gained recognition for his lead performances in Ryan Murphy's Netflix series The Politician (2019–2020) and Hollywood (2020). In 2022, he appeared in the films Look Both Ways and Pearl, along with the HBO miniseries We Own This City.
