David Carradine was an American actor who starred as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s television series Kung Fu. He portrayed the title character in both Kill Bill films and appeared in Martin Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha (1972) and Mean Streets (1973). Over his extensive career, Carradine acted in more than 100 feature films, earning nominations for a Golden Globe and an Emmy for Kung Fu, as well as three additional Golden Globe nominations. He won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004). Carradine also had a diverse career as a director and musician, and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1997.
