David Bowie is an English singer, songwriter, and actor who starred as Major Celliers in Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983). His career spanned over five decades, during which he became a significant figure in popular music. Bowie's alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, emerged in 1972, propelled by the success of his single 'Starman' and the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. He also appeared in cult films such as The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) and Labyrinth (1986). Bowie's musical experimentation continued into the 1990s and 2000s, culminating in the release of his final album, Blackstar (2016), shortly before his passing.
