Dara Singh is an Indian professional wrestler and actor who played Hanuman in Bajrangbali (1976). He began his acting career in 1952 and became the first sportsman nominated to the Rajya Sabha, India's upper house. Throughout his career, he appeared in various films, including Anand (1971), Mard (1985), and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000). Singh also worked as a producer, director, and writer in both Hindi and Punjabi cinema. He gained significant recognition for his role in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. In 2018, he was inducted into the Legacy wing of the WWE Hall of Fame.
