Daphne Rubin-Vega is a Panamanian-American actress who originated the role of Mimi Marquez in the Broadway musical Rent (1996). She has also portrayed Lucy in the Off-Broadway play Jack Goes Boating (2007). In addition to her stage work, Rubin-Vega appeared as Agnes in the TV series Smash (2012) and as Luisa Lopez in Katy Keene (2020). Her film credits include a role in Wild Things (1998) and she starred as salon owner Daniela in the film adaptation of In the Heights (2021).
