Danny Elfman is an American film composer who scored his first studio film, "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure," in 1985. He gained fame as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the band Oingo Boingo during the early 1980s. Elfman has collaborated extensively with Tim Burton, providing music for nearly 20 of his films, including notable titles such as "Beetlejuice" (1988), "Batman" (1989), and "Edward Scissorhands" (1990). His work also includes scores for Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" (2002) and the animated classic "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993). Among his accolades are four Oscar nominations and three Emmy Awards. Elfman received the Disney Legend Award in 2015.
