Daniel Gerson was an American screenwriter who co-wrote the screenplay for Monsters, Inc. (2001). He collaborated extensively with Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios on notable films such as Monsters University (2013) and Big Hero 6 (2014), which marked his final work as a screenwriter. Gerson also provided material for several other animated features, including Chicken Little (2005), Up (2009), and Zootopia (2016), as well as television series like Misguided Angeles and Big Wolf on Campus. He received a BAFTA award.
