Dan Hedaya is an American actor who portrayed Nick Tortelli on the sitcom Cheers. He began his acting career at the campus theater while studying at Tufts University. Hedaya appeared in Blood Simple (1984), The Usual Suspects (1995), and Mulholland Drive (2001). He has also appeared in The Addams Family (1991), Commando (1985), and Ransom (1996). His performances often feature him in the guise of sleazy villains or uptight characters. In addition to his film work, he played a role in the Coen brothers' crime thriller Blood Simple.
