Dale Ishimoto was an American actor of Japanese descent who portrayed a Japanese army captain in Beach Red (1967). He began his acting journey at the Altadena Playhouse after serving in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, earning a Purple Heart. Ishimoto appeared in various films, including MASH (1970), Superchick (1973), and Midway (1976). He gained prominence in the late 1990s through Nissan commercials as Yutaka Katayama. In addition, he acted in Beverly Hills Ninja (1997).
