Corey Hawkins is an American actor who portrayed Dr. Dre in the film Straight Outta Compton (2015), earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. He gained further recognition for his role in the TV series The Walking Dead (2015–2016) and starred in the Fox series 24: Legacy (2017). Hawkins appeared in Broadway productions such as Six Degrees of Separation (2017) and Topdog/Underdog (2022), both of which garnered him Tony Award nominations. His film credits include Kong: Skull Island (2017), BlacKkKlansman (2018), and 6 Underground (2019). In 2024, he will be featured in the adaptation of The Piano Lesson.
