Colm Meaney is an Irish actor who portrayed Chief Miles O'Brien in the Star Trek franchise, appearing in 225 episodes across two series. He played a working-class father in the Barrytown Trilogy adaptations: The Commitments, The Snapper, and The Van. Meaney's extensive film career includes notable performances in Die Hard 2, The Last of the Mohicans, Con Air, and Layer Cake. On television, he played Thomas C.
