Cliff Gardner is a post-conviction specialist who started his own law firm in 1981. Based in Berkeley, California, he was part of the legal team that introduced new evidence in the case of Erik and Lyle Menendez, convicted in 1996 of murdering their parents. Gardner's work has been featured in the film The Menendez Brothers (2024).
