Cliff Edwards, also known as "Ukulele Ike," is an American musician and voice actor who provided the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Walt Disney's Pinocchio (1940). He gained fame in the 1920s and early 1930s for his jazzy interpretations of popular songs, including the number-one hit "Singin' in the Rain" in 1929. Edwards also lent his voice to animated films, including Dumbo (1941) and Fun and Fancy Free (1947). His performance of "When You Wish Upon a Star" in Pinocchio remains one of his most recognized works in music and film. Edwards' work has left a lasting impact on the world of animation and music.
