Clarke Peters is an American actor, writer, and director who played Lester Freamon in the series The Wire (2002–2008). He has spent significant time in the United Kingdom and has a diverse career in film, television, and theater. Peters has appeared in notable films such as Silver Dream Racer (1980), John Wick (2014), and Da 5 Bloods (2020), the latter earning him a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His work in theater includes the musical revue Five Guys Named Moe (1990) and various West End productions like Bubbling Brown Sugar (1977) and Chicago. Peters also starred as Albert Lambreaux in the HBO series Treme (2010–2013).
