Christopher Jackson is an American actor, singer, musician, and composer who starred as George Washington in Hamilton (2025). He began his career in 1995 with the Off-Broadway musical Time and the Wind and made his Broadway debut in 1997 as part of the ensemble in Disney's The Lion King, eventually taking on the role of Simba. Jackson has played leading roles in numerous Broadway productions, including After Midnight, Bronx Bombers, and Memphis. He gained recognition for his collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda, originating the role of Benny in In the Heights and providing the voice of Chief Tui in Moana. Jackson received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in Hamilton.
