Christian Steyer is a German actor, voice artist, musician, and film composer who made his film debut in Es ist eine alte Geschichte (1972). He grew up in various towns including Meißen and Oschatz, where he developed his musical talents early on, studying piano and singing in the Meißener Domchor. Steyer studied music at the Leipzig and Dresden conservatories before completing an acting program at the State School of Drama in Berlin. He gained recognition as a composer for film and television, with projects like Der Untergang der Emma (1974) and Die Blindgänger (2005), the latter earning him the Goldener Spatzenfuß award for best film music. He also appeared in Army of Thieves (2021).
