Christian Marquand was a French actor who played the role of Antoine in ...And God Created Woman (1956). He began his film career in 1946 with a minor role in Jean Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast. Marquand gained prominence in the 1950s, appearing in notable films such as Lucrèce Borgia (1953) and Senso (1954). His performance in the successful film directed by Roger Vadim led to further starring roles in No Sun in Venice (1957) and Temptation (1959). He also appeared in international productions like Behold a Pale Horse (1964) and The Longest Day (1962). Marquand directed two films, including the sex farce Candy (1968).
