Christian Berkel is a German actor who played Doctor Ernst-Günther Schenck in Downfall (2004). He trained at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin and has performed on stages across several cities, including Munich and Vienna. Berkel has appeared in numerous German television productions and gained international recognition with roles in films such as Black Book, Flightplan, and Valkyrie, where he portrayed Colonel Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim.
