Christopher Michael Sanders is an American filmmaker and animator who created the character Stitch in 1985. He co-wrote and directed animated films such as Lilo & Stitch (2002) and How to Train Your Dragon (2010) alongside Dean DeBlois, both of which received Academy Award nominations for Best Animated Feature. Sanders also directed The Croods (2013) with Kirk DeMicco and made his live-action directorial debut with The Call of the Wild (2020). His recent projects include The Croods: A New Age (2020) and The Wild Robot (2024). Sanders voiced Stitch in nearly all his media appearances.
