Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor who portrayed Steve Rogers / Captain America in various films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). His films have grossed $11.4 billion worldwide. Evans began his career in television with Opposite Sex in 2000 and gained early recognition in teen films such as Not Another Teen Movie (2001).
