Chris Elliott is an American actor and comedian who created and starred in the cult comedy series Get a Life (1990). He began his career as a writer for Late Night with David Letterman in 1982, working on the show for six years. Elliott has appeared in films such as There's Something About Mary (1998), Scary Movie 2 (2001), and Groundhog Day (1993). He also had a notable role in the television series Schitt's Creek (2015-2020), for which he received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In addition to acting, Elliott is a writer and director, recognized for his work on Strange Brew (1983).
