Chris Cooper is an American actor who won both the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Adaptation (2002). He has delivered notable supporting roles in films such as American Beauty (1999), The Bourne Identity (2002), and Seabiscuit (2003). Cooper has also portrayed significant characters in various projects, including Sheriff July Johnson in the miniseries Lonesome Dove and FBI agent Robert Hanssen in Breach (2007).
