Chiwetel Ejiofor is a British actor who received the BAFTA Award for Best Actor for his role as Solomon Northup in 12 Years a Slave (2013). He gained early recognition after being cast by Steven Spielberg in Amistad (1997) while training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Ejiofor's notable film credits include Love Actually (2003), Children of Men (2006), and The Martian (2015). He expanded his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his portrayal of Karl Mordo in Doctor Strange (2016) and its sequel.
