China Anne McClain is an American actress who made her film debut as Alexis in The Gospel (2005). She played Jazmine Payne in Tyler Perry's House of Payne (2007–2012; 2020–present) and starred as Charlotte McKenzie in Grown Ups (2010). McClain portrayed Chyna Parks in the Disney Channel series A.N.T. Farm (2011–2014) and appeared as Uma in Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019). She starred as Jennifer Pierce / Lightning in the CW series Black Lightning (2018–2021). In addition to acting, she has a successful music career, with her single "Calling All the Monsters" reaching number one on the US Kid Digital Songs chart. McClain reprised her role as Uma in Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024).
