Charlie Watts is an English musician who was the drummer for the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his passing in 2021. Initially trained as a graphic artist, he developed a passion for jazz early on and joined Blues Incorporated, where he met future bandmates Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Watts was involved in the design of the band's album covers and stage setups. He was also active outside the Rolling Stones, leading the Charlie Watts Quintet and performing at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Watts was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and is celebrated as one of the greatest drummers in music history. He appeared in the film 5 + 1 (1970).
