Charlie Day is an American actor, writer, and producer who played Charlie Kelly in the FX/FXX series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005–present). He gained prominence for his role as Dr. Newton Geiszler in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim (2013) and has appeared in comedies such as Horrible Bosses (2011) and its sequel Horrible Bosses 2 (2014). Day has also lent his voice to characters in Monsters University (2013) and The Lego Movie franchise (2014–2019). In addition to acting, he co-created the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest (2020–2025). He made his directorial debut with Fool's Paradise (2023).
