Charles Martinet is an American actor who voiced Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario video game series from 1996 to 2022. He also provided the voices for characters such as Wario and Waluigi. In addition to his work in video games, Martinet appears in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). Having spent much of his youth in Europe, he is fluent in French and Spanish, and has some knowledge of Italian. Martinet transitioned from voice acting to become an official brand ambassador for the Super Mario franchise.
